February 10
Hiked with Leigh. Went to school. Both classes went by relatively quickly which was nice. After class headed down to Palos Verdes for Jordan's double feature movie night, but in typical boy fashion, it didnt go as planned. What was planned was 500 days of summer followed by Inglorious Basterds. I get there, Dave and Todd are talking about doing some online math test, everyone's talking about eating/making food, no ones ready to start movies. So we eat pasta for dinner, then hit up the magical 100 calorie frozen yogurt place (i tried butter pecan this time, it was amazing)! We get home and Dave and Todd say they have to do the test before we watch the movie, Colin shows up and agrees, and no one even wants to watch 500 Days, they just wanna watch Inglorious. It was annoying. But Jordan and I decided that since they were all doing math anyways, we would start 500 days. So we did. And then there were internet problems so they all ended up heading to the LMU library to do the test, leaving Jordan and I to watch the movie in peace. I loved it. Loved that it had an architectural vein to it. Loved Zooey Deschanel. But I hated how she wore blue in every scene and I couldn't figure out the significance. *I later googled the significance and found out that it was for the sole purpose of bringing out her EYES! So frustrating! So we watched the movie, i fell asleep for several "days" of it, we talked art & int design with his mom & sis and then I was falling asleep so i headed for home.
February 11
Grocery shopped first thing cause I had absolutely no food. Oh how I love grocery shopping in the morning. It's so empty and bright and just wonderful. Went to class, stayed at school and did my autocad homework (fairly quickly), came home and was told by Dave and Colin that they were going to do a photoshoot of me. I was like "but my hair isn't washed!" and they were like "that was Leigh's exact reaction!" Colin had borrowed photoshoot supplies from his friend because he was supposed to shoot some calendar of a girl but then the girl's boyfriend nixxed that idea, so Colin had all the fixin's for a photoshoot but no models. So we rounded up some randoms and had a little garage photoshoot. It was sooooo much fun but sooooo awkward! I'm the worst model EVER!
February 12
Slept through my alarm which is SO unlike me! But it was an unnecessary alarm anyways. Making it to pilates for 10 was easy. After pilates went spinning, came home and read and did homework all afternoon because I was supposed to go surfing with Colin but there were no waves. Went to Brandon's for a movie - watched The Stepfather - it was AMAZING! Oh how I love cheesy horror movies!
February 13
Fun day. Hollywood sign hike - saw that it's been changed to "save the peak" (save it from condo developers... which is pretty ironic since it was put up in the first place as an advertisement for a development up there)... Came home, tanned for a WHILE and it was so wonderfully hot! Received the most exciting top secret news EVER from home ... stay tuned! Ate lunch with Leigh and Dave in the backyard, and then Leigh and I ventured out on shopping adventures. First stop: Pottery Barn. We bought beautiful 8x10 black frames for our future apartments because they were on sale. Now we just have to have another photoshoot to take cool pictures for them! Next was williams sonoma... all sold out of heart shaped cookie cutters. Sprinkles: waited in the longest Sprinkles line i've ever waited in, but got our free vanillas for whispering "xox" and Red Hot Velvets for our Valentines double date breakfast tomorrow! Then we parted ways, Leigh went to get the rest of dave's present and I went on a hunt for a heart shaped cookie cutter. Heart shaped cookie cutters are all sold out in Los Angeles. Oh well. Got LC's new book and the Virgin Suicides DVD, a Valentine's present to myself, so Josh Hartnett and I can have a hot Valentine's date tomorrow!

February 7-8
February 7
Hollywood sign hike... had to burn of a small portion of the Superbowl calories... my ipod was driving me CRAZY. Ever since I got the new headphones, it skips songs and pauses by itself, even when its on hold. I don't get it. The plug must not fit properly or something. I wanted to die while trying to run and the songs kept starting over again. Running is hard enough without having to deal with a malfunctioning ipod! Came home, watched Dave and Jordan film some scene of the dog stuffed animal that brandon gave me with a knife beside it.... they had to film a creepy scene? Drafted all day long. Literally didn't leave the house. Took a break to watch the Bachelor but it sucks so it wasn't even a fun break. Dave and Jordan came home at 10:30ish and I hung out with them for another drafting break. They made my brain hurt talking about crazy 3D filming stuff. Oh! Almost forgot the ultimate highlight of the day! My wonderful conversation with Derek that made me feel sooooooo much better about my life. He told me that i'm getting too wrapped up in heavy stuff and need to step back and reset. "Be the happy Christine that I love, that likes to be spontaneous and blast music and go for pinkberry and hang out and laugh." I love Derek.
Low key day. Got up and went to the gym for training/spinning. Jad told me that I have to keep a food diary for this week because with the amount i work out, i should be way skinnier. Damn it. Now I seriously can't eat sugar! Although Valentine's day is gonna be a disaster... Jordan and I decided that we're not gonna go to Big Bear, so I think I wanna cook heart shaped banananananana pancakes for boys on Valentines day, and then eat Red Hot Velvet Sprinkles cupcakes with Leigh, and eat the chocolate that my mom sent me... Oh how I love Valentine's Day! But back to today. Training - saw Neve Campbell at the gym again. Came home and drafted ALL DAY AGAIN. F kitchen cupboards. They'll be the death of me. Around 3:00 I received a harrowing phone call. The land line rang. It never rings (unless its someone buzzing from the gate). It was Jane Kaczmarek, letting us know that they're putting the house up for sale and we have to be out in 90 days :( Dun dun dunnnnn... Fantasyland is coming to an end! Dave is pumped, he's been wanting an excuse to move to the beach for a while now, Leigh is devastated, she loves our house, I'm also devastated, but realized that I couldn't live in this dream house forever... tiny apartment here i come!
Around dinner time we were joined by the Emmy Award Winning Ex Pro Surfer Colin Pierce, and he and Dave spend a lovely bunch of hours doing math homework and eating ALL the chili. Dave asked if he could have the chili and I said yeah thikning that there was tons left, but then when i went to get my dinner, they had eaten it all! But it was all good, I had broccoli and chicken instead. Cameron called and gave me lecture #473 about going out all the time and dating tons of dudes. Will his advice ever set in? We shall see. We all did some more homework and then my Valentine came over (Jordan) and we all sat around on the couches talking about new living arrangements, Kid Cudi's new mix tape, tomorrows movie night at jordan's and my Barbie valentines that i was addressing. It was a lovely way to spend an evening!

February 7
Superbowl day! Woke up, went for a hike, came home just as Leigh was coming home from work and we put our cute outfits on and started in on making food! Roger was the first one to arrive and sat around watching us cook, surprisingly giving me compliments on my cooking instead of critsizing me. We made the goat cheese/sundried tomato/basil/olive/balsamic/olive oil one (the crowd pleaser), a guacamole/salsa/sour cream/cheese layered dip (with homemade guac obvi), hummus & pitas, and i forget what else. Dave ordered 5 pizzas, there were countless bags of chips, my chili, garlic bread, and eventually the boys persuaded me into making chocolate chip cookies. We watched the game, had our own halftime show/photoshoot in the backyard, (complete with cheerleading moves) watched the game some more, and ate way too much (and spilled chili all over my white shirt). Todd and Ben arrived wayyyyy after the game was over and we sat around the kitchen table watching Jordan do homework. I went to bed at 10 cause i was exhausted and felt sick from eating too much.

February 5-6
February 5
Pilates with Myara. It was awesome becasue Leigh came and it was just the two of us in the class! I then went to the gym for spinning, came home for lunch, then headed out to Venice to go surfing with the Emmy-Award-Winning-Ex-Pro-Surfer Colin Pierce! Keep in mind it was POURING rain and freezing cold, but I totally needed some salt water in my life. So I arrive at Colin's at 4:30 and we drive to Venice Beach. We park 5 blocks away and RUN to the beach cause that's what he does during rainy surf sessions to keep warm, and it was soooo funny (but freezing) running through puddley streets barefoot! And the BEST part was that once we finally arrived at the ocean, we were already soaking wet so the water was warmer than the air! My favorite thing in life! We had an AMAZING time - I rode the longest wave of my life! And there was only one other person in the water and it was sooooo gloomy and miserable and pouring and I absolutely loved every second of it! And then driving home was soooooo wonderful cause i had the heat blasting! Got home, made dinner, and started Mercury in Retrograde by Paula Froelich which seems like it'll be a cute light read. Leigh and I cuddled on the couch, drank tea and video ichatted with Brandon and Peter Clerkin.
February 6
Wonderful morning followed by a not so wonderful rest of the day! Woke up and didn't hike! Instead put on the cutest outfits ever - Me: Black & White striped long tank, black zip up huge hood hoodie, black leggings, white knee socks with black stripes, hunter boots. Leigh: Black hoodie, grey leggings, white socks with grey stripes, hunter boots. So we first venture out to American Apparel in Los Feliz to get our thigh high socks for our Super Bowl outfits, but it doesn't open til 11. It was 10. So we spy a ghetto grocery store across the street and decide to see if we can get some of our chili/cocktail party ingredients there. As we're waiting to cross the street, we notice two firemen checking us out. We wave, they say "nice boots" on their loud speaker thing. We burst into laughter. It was soooooo awesome. Then we crossed the street talking about how we're perfect for each other because she's blonde and i'm brunette and we make the perfect duo! Got a couple staple grocery items at the ghetto store, tried to buy some flowers from a ghetto flower shop (unfortch we didnt have time to go skid row flower shopping) but the flower place was closed. We did however see a mexican peeing in an alley. We rain away. Decided we couldnt kill any more time before Apparel opened so we hit up Ralphs and Gelsons and went home to prepare food. After food preparation I ran back to Apparel while leigh put things in boxes and threw those boxes in the garbage. Came back with white socks with black stripes. We tried them on, they were hideous. Thigh high striped socks sound so hot in theory, but in reality, knee high are much hotter. But we decided to try black instead (cause the Saints are black and not white anyways), so i went back and got those and they were much better. Although we're still not sure whether or not to just wear knee highs... We'll figure it out tomorrow.
Our cocktail party started at 4. It was somewhat of a bust. It was supposed to be so the Thirst Project board members could meet the staff members, but none of the board members showed up... so it was basically a staff meeting. Now we're in for an exciting night of homework and chili making! Even though all i really wanna do is watch The Virgin Suicides...

January 30 - February 3
January 30
Happy Birthday Rob!!! Today was filled with copious amounts of tears. It was not fun. However, I did manage to drag my ass up to the Hollywood sign, tan for an hour or two (and got lots of freckles!), and did all my drafting homework. Jordan and I were supposed to go to San Pedro cause I need a picture of a suspension bridge there for my History of Architecture scavenger hunt project, but he was chained to his Phil Driscoll rendering desk and it was dark by the time he was done. So instead we went to The Grove, got me some new headphones (i'd had a string of bad headphone luck), had a lovely dinner and then he ALLLLLMOST talked me into seeing a movie, but since I hate seeing movies in theatres, I declined. So instead we walked around the farmers market, were about to get pinkberry, but then Jordan said we should go to Brentwood so I could get green tea! YESSSSS! So off to brentwood we went. Post frozen yogurt Jordan went to the movie with Ben and I went home to sleep.
January 31
Hollywood sign hike. Tanning. Headed down to San Pedro and met Jordan at Ben's, hopped in his car and we took several snaps of the suspensions bridge, some of a greek revival house, and did several fishtails in his car cause he's crazy. We then got in our respective cars and headed to Jordan's famous frozen yogurt place! It was insane. For frozen yogurt that's bigger than a large pinkberry it's only 100 calories! I didn't buy it, but the girl working there swore it was true. Mmmmm artificial sweetener! It was really good though. And their toppings were yogurtland calibre. We soon had a lovely visit from Ben, and the three of us discussed cannon ball holes in walls, cars, heartbreak, sororities and how i should have my own reality show. Not so into the whole reality show idea. After we finished our yogurt and the boys had got me an extra cup of peanut M&Ms straight up, I peaced. (Gotta love frozen yogurt and m&ms for dinner). Had to go home and anxiously await the arrival of my true love - she and Dave arrived home from Aspen at 9! So i went home, got dumped via text, shed some overly dramatic tears, and had a love fest with Leigh upon her arrival home.
February 1
New day, new month, changes were in order. I decided that for the month of February I would starve myself. And by starve myself i mean eat super healthy with the exception of Valentine's Day and Tony's birthday party. Leigh was down. She added no alcohol to the mix as well, which I would've done anyways, and we recruited Jess & Julia to the bandwagon. Ok so continuing with the theme of bettering myself, I hiked, and then came home and called the great and powerful Lynn Pierce. Thankfully she works Mondays. So I trekked on down to San Diego for a little soul rejuvenation! A wonderful hour + of massage, chakra cleansing, energy balancing, and advice giving later, I emerged a brand new girl! She's so wonderful. My drive home was traffic-free, and chock-full of new Vampire Weekend. I stopped in HB, picked up my newly repaired surfboard from HSS and then continued on up the 405 and ended up at Cameron's. He threw together dinner for me, we went to whole foods so i could stock up on my cereals, and had a painfully maddening conversation about how i need to show people that i have demand by going out to clubs and dating lots of guys. Two things that i'm soooooooo not interested in. Sorry Cameron. I'm not a typical LA girl and have no interest in becoming one! Next up on the busy-day agenda was pilates. The class was full. And most of them were guys (Myara's fiances friends), it was funny. Came home and chilled out with Leigh while watching the Bachelor and DH.
February 2
It's funny how groundhog day really means nothing in LA! Went to the gym for training & spinning. Jad kicked my ASS today! I liked it. I was also doing my circuit beside David Spade who was hunched on the floor resembling a homeless man... David Spade, Neve Campbell, who will I see next? I found out that Shakira and Posh spice also work out there. I really should become more observant. Went home. Washed my hair. Had lunch. Went to FIDM to get OSAP admin stuff signed, and then decided to walk to the Bradbury Building... at least I think that's what it was called... to take a pic of the interior for the scavenger hunt project. I put Taking Back Sunday and Less than Jake on my ipod and tried to pretend I was back in the U of T days walking around downtown toronto. No such luck. The building was awesome, the walk there wasn't. I got leered at by countless unsavory characters, and accosted by three, one of which wouldnt stop looking at me and trying to talk to me while riding his bike down the sidewalk beside me... and then he rode right into a garbage can. Amazing. Thankfully i made it safely back to the Xplorer, hit up Fedex to send the OSAP stuff to mom and M Cafe to get me a wonderful kale salad dinner. Grocery shopped, came home, barbecued chicken, ate chicken and kale salad and grilled veggies. Watched a Teen Mom marathon and went for an Urth Caffee tea party with Cameron, who I again wanted to punch in the face after he lectured me about how I should be living life. At least he sent me a nice apology bbm the next day. But the tea party wasn't all bad, he entertained me with lots of crazy insane stories (mostly about dirty tramps that he's hooked up with).
February 3
Wonderful morning hike guest-starring Leigh! Sat through two classes, came home, ate a round 2 of my chicken/kale salad/grilled veggie dinner with Jordan and Dave. They both tried to fix my computer and make it able to print, but neither had any luck. (Jordan however didnt have time to give it a real shot since he had to run back to work to render Phil Driscoll). Did my sketching homework, looked up names on urbandictionary.com, discussed and laughed about name meanings with Todd.
Christine: A deity; the best person to be in your corner; unlimited power and potential; a muse; someone that can change your life. Someone that takes your side even when you're wrong; soulmate; kismet; fortuitous; serendipity
Leigh: A name for girls who are prissy but not, genuine but not really. Girls with this name often are amazing, stunning, and are bad ass mother f-ers. P.S. They tend to brag about how manly they are.
Todd: An acronym for touching other dudes dicks. (Todd is changing his name to Jordan tomorrow).
Jordan: A man who is a bad mutha. Most likely a ninja or some other bad ass profession, such as porn star, elected official, super-athlete or even CEO of your mom. Disclaimer: will fornicate with any friend's hot mom without regret. A Jordan is a cold blooded panty bandit with the future in his eyes and fire spewing from his mouth. A Jordan usually makes good money, certainly more than you, yet you're not exactly sure how. An enigma will spontaneously combust if ever to come into contact with a Jordan. A Jordan can be found in public places such as cities, towns, or Canadian territories. A Jordan can also be found in the isolation of the deep wild where he may be pondering ponderous thoughts of the very existence of time and space which would cause lesser men's heads to implode in the manner of a rather disturbing sucking sound. I digress, explaining a Jordan any further would simply take away from the only pleasure you will know for the next 20 minutes. The basking in of the thought of the very essence that is A Jordan.
February 4
Another lovely hike with lovely Leigh. Another full day of school. I love wednesday classes, they're soooo relaxing. But I ended up staying at school til almost 7 doing my autocad homework. I've REALLY gotta go get myself a PC... one of these days... Came home, made dinner, fell asleep at 9 watching Jersey Shore.
