Dec 10 and some days before it...

Monday
Wonderful rainy morning. Drafted all morning. Drank hot chocolate with Leigh. Went to class. Went to the gym. Came home. Baked oatmeal raisin and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for Ty the Christmas Tree salesman, made him a sweet card, went to deliver them but he was GONE. Annoying. So we came home and decorated the tree and watched Elf and it was sooooo wonderful because I love Elf, and even Leigh loved it the second time around! Little Miss Christmas (me) is FINALLY here!

Tuesday
I woke up feeling nauseous. At first I couldn't bring myself to even THINK about eating breakfast (which is crazy rare for me) and I thought it was just cause i was full from too many cookies the night before, but then I barfed and realized I was sick. Unfortch I had to go to school to hand in our History of Architecture booklet, so I went, parked in visitor parking for free (so luxurious), dropped off the booklet, and headed back to bed (with a pit stop at CVS to pick up a thermometer). Temperature 98.9. Pretty normal. I spent the day in bed feeling so nauseous, barfing 4 or 5 times, eventually having a fever (my cool thermometer does a special beep for when you have a fever), was taken care of by Dorian (he bought me ginger ale and offered to go get paint swatches for my sample board that was due the next day! I didnt make him go get the samples obvi). At dinner time he made me get out of bed to watch a movie, we watched Breakfast at Tiffany's and i'd forgotten how wonderful it was! I also realized that I was in the midst of the mean reds:

Holly - You know those days when you get the mean reds?
Paul - The mean reds, you mean like the blues?
Holly - No. The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you dont know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Paul - Sure.
Holly - Well when i get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If i could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then i'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!

The Beverly Hills Hotel is my Tiffany's. I'll take my lover there for lunch before we bust outta here. By the time the movie finished and we started watching 90210, I was feeling light years better! We then heard the rumble of a loud car... i was scared it was Public Enemy #1 but have no fear, it was Jordan in his purple M3, back from the dead! (Missing interior pieces mind you, but still back)! He took for for a spin and it was like a spaceship. I want one. I somehow got tricked into going to Kogi with them (the boys said Leigh said she was coming, she didnt come) but this involved another spin in the purple M3 so it was alright.

Wednesday
Woke up feeling not 100%. Walked to RealRawLive for my first food in a day... thought a green drink would be the best thing for me... the walk was definitely not the best thing for me. Felt like i was gonna faint and was boiling hot by the time i got there (it was freezing out). So i got my delicious breakfast drink (maca, coconut water, almonds, blueberries, other stuff...) came home, ate it and rested some more. That afternoon Dorian and I met Leigh in Barney's to pick up her ring, went to Neiman Marcus to get whisky cake for Gerlinda, went to several stores and bought several christmas presents, got free cupcakes, and then i parted ways to head to Robertson and The Grove for some more Christmas shopping. Mom and Dad are done, Ryan will be done on saturday, still gotta find a sick hoodie for Berkley. I went to Gelsons and picked up the ingredients for Dorian Chicken, made the chicken, leigh made salad complete with sweet buttery nuts, and we sat down to a wonderful family dinner, with sprinkles for dessert (that got quite mauled). We made funny faces, laughed our faces off, and left for our 3D Christmas Carol double date at the El Capitan. It sucked. So boring. It's just not an eventful enough story to not have muppets. It needed muppets. Got home, went straight to bed for our early wakeup call.

Thursday
Amazing day. Woke up at the ungodly hour of 6... well, 6:45 because i set my alarm for 6;15 pm by mistake... us troops rounded ourselves up... Leigh and Dave headed for the airport, Dorian and I started to head out for breakfast but decided that we didnt even feel like going out for breakfast, so we went home to kill time and then headed to Colins. We thought we were meeting Dave there, but then we get a call from him saying he's at the Porsche dealership and to come pick him up. So we get Colin, drive to the address Dave texted me, and it leads us to a sketchy alley with a run-down car fixing place full of Audis and Bentleys... but not a porsche in sight. So we call dave, he tells us some sort of cryptic message and hangs up telling us its on Santa Monica. So we find it, rearrange the car to fit passenger #4 (we had 2 surfboards and full dual camera gear), fit everything in, gas up the Xplorer and head to Ventura to surf the big waves! Colin drove, we staged an intervention about his irregular gas pedal pressure, and made it to Ventura by 11:30. The waves were massive, and were only getting bigger, Colin said he was worried about me, I said i'd give it a try. So I did. But was too terrified to really do much of anything except ride the whitewash. Literally there were 10 ft + waves. So I surfed for half an hour, attempted to tan for half an hour (it was freezing, the sun was soooo low in the sky, it was pointless), so i vowed to hit up sephora for some fake tanner tomorrow. Colin came out and we relocated to a rock pile (which he jumped off of into the 10 ft + waves) and Dave and Dorian took some snaps while I watched/had a very wonderful conversation with Brandon. He apologized for being an ass, we made amends, it was all thanks to the salt water cleansing my soul. My dark days are OVER!

After surfing was done and we were all nicely chilled to the bone the boys decided they needed some mexican food. So we went on a wild goose chase to some random mall to get some specific mexican food. Colin, Dave and I then split 60 Mrs. Fields cookies. It was delicious and disgusting. We then had the coziest drive home... Rich Hill, Kid Cudi and a little Miley singing us to sleep... dropped Colin off, drove home listening to rap songs and their girly alternates, came home, had a picture uploading party, had a re-heated Dorian Chicken dinner, Colin and Rony came over, I wanted to watch Alpha Dog but the boys insisted on watching pieces of movies, so i went upstairs and watched Melrose Place and painted my nails. Now we're watching fear and loathing in las vegas. Fun full day.
