Lunacy

It is 9:43 pm. I got home from school 10 mins ago. I left my house at 7:30 this morning and have been at school ever since. Now I have to make myself look pretty to go out for Cameron's birthday at 11:30. This calls for Starbucks... which I picked up on the way home from school.

Todayyyyy. Computer graphics was crazy as usual. Critiquing each others work on the overhead projector for 2 hours followed by 45 minutes of warp speed cramming information into our brains. I've finally found something that i'm not so good at. Illustrator. I hate it!

I had a career services appointment during my break (which was my reason for staying at school for it), which was pretty sweet. Found out that I can actually get a PAID internship after the end of this quarter! I won't be illegal anymore! I won't feel so guilty for mooching off my parents! (Although internships are only 8-10 hours a week so there will most likely still be some mooching... unless i can somehow manage to live off of $100 a week)... The rest of the break was filled with homework.

Dinner at Tiffany's. I felt soooooo bad for Taylor cause she had no provisions to get her through the six hours! My Lime/Mint San Pellegrino, Larabar, and La Scala Chopped Salad got me through. Oh, and Taylor, Akela and I obvi had a raisinette party during our last break. It's pretty funny how much I look forward to our Raisinette parties considering I have despised them my entire life. Like, they were part of the Halloween candy that would get thrown out. And then Tiffany made fun of Canadians for giving them out for Halloween candy. Apparently Americans don't do that... Highlights from the rest of the class - laugh attacks over dead end corridors and fire emergencies, me badly choking not once but twice, office chair races.

I'm a hammer from Hell, Honey can't you tell?"

April 28

When cutting cable wires, one must always wear rubber gloves and oven mitts.

More on that later.

I've started watching Saved By The Bell episodes in the morning hours while eating breakfast and getting ready for the day. It warms my heart, and I actually like Jessie now that we had our heart to heart convo about ruby slipper converse at M Cafe. Went to the gym early. I can't get over how luxurious and wonderful it is to be able to walk there in under 10 mins! I went on the stair machine again and basically died, but in a good way. My abs are also back to where they should be - my world famous ab workout was once again a piece of cake!

After the gym I was supposed to meet William for lunch, but I remembered I had a quiz in Textile Science so I postponed our lunch date for another day. Some cable cutting and several I Love Lucy episodes later, it was time for school. But wait, back to the cable cutting. so there was this tv cable that was painted into the doorframe of my kitchen door. But it was useless. It was cut on one end of the door and at the other end was all this slack, so i wanted to cut off the slack. I called Daddykins to ask if i could just straight up cut it with wirecutters but he didnt answer. Was talking to Dorian on bbm and he told me that it would have a slight charge but not enough to zap me. I didnt buy this (since it wasn't connected to anything) but better to be safe than sorry, so I geared up in rubber gloves and oven mitts (which was actually a cute look considering my rubber gloves are pink and my oven mitts are black), hacked away at the cable and claimed victory over it! (And didn't get zapped in the process)! Alright, back to school. Deborah Young makes my day every time I walk into Textile Science. She is SO full of energy (Monster-induced energy) and makes what could be a pretty boring class really fun! I also think its just so funny that there's like 17 Jennifers in the class and 2 Christines. And we all sit beside each other.

I came home from school to a facebook message to my cousin from my mom offering up my piano! What the hell! She already gave away one of my pianos, i'm not letting it happen again! Just cause i'm living in LA and might be living in LA forever doesn't mean that I don't want my piano to sit in my Toronto living room collecting dust! Just cause the only time I use it is to play the odd Christmas carol or Death Cab song with Derek doesn't mean that she can just ship it off to whoever wants it! Thankfully Ryan stepped in and put the kibosh on giving it away. You rock Ry.

Dinner time. I'm making a tradition of Wednesday night La Scala dinners, so I can enhance Thursday Dinner at Tiffany's with my leftovers! I made a pit stop at Whole Foods to buy some chocolate almonds and what did my eyes behold but ORGANIC FRUITY BEARS! The exact same organic fruity bears that they have at Pinkberry!!! For months Leigh and I have been plotting to find out where they get those things! Mission accomplished. Now we just need to remember that word that we want to be called that means waif but isn't waif and isn't in any dictionary we've checked. Any progress TR or Ali J? So then i call Leigh to tell her and she asks me if i wanna walk to see our pinkberry boyfriends tonight. Oh how I desperately wanted to, but I still have a bit of homework to do for tomorrow and the walk (plus the drive to Leigh's) would just take too many hours that I don't have. We'll do it this weekend. So many things to do this weekend before we give the house away next Wednesday! Mass bbq cook-fest. Smores Bonfire/burning stuff party. Pinkberry walk. Backyard tan sesh. Backyard reading sesh. Pick all the remaining citrus from the secret garden. Steal an orange from Brangelina's tree... maybe a miracle will happen and they'll coincidentally return home from Italy? Drink tea for the last time under the Wisteria. Absorb as much wonderful energy from that wonderful wonderful dreamhouse as possible. Reminisce... about the:
Laughs (mostly resulting from TR's presence or Boston accents with Colin ... "Hayf a cayn of cattage cheese")
Parties (Rad Plaid Birthday, Canadian Thanksgiver, Black & White Birthday, Grilled Cheese/Ice Cream Sundaes, Superbowl, US/Canada game, Valentines Heart Shaped Pancake Breakfast, Oscars etc etc etc)
Pig-outs (see parties)
Hikes. Rainy hikes, sunny hikes, 911 calling fire-y hikes... insert embarassed look.
Craziness (the day dave came home asking what was going on after i'd sprinkled sea salt over the door thresholds to keep out bad energy, moonlit ocean water crystal cleansing, energy cleansing by Colin's mom)
The Neverending Stream of Visitors: Jordan, Todd, Colin, Ben, Jess, Julia, Caitlin, Tony, Lauren, Dorian, TR, Roger, Brandon, Seth, J'aime, etc etc etc...
Randomly coming home to movie sets and photoshoots.
Tears. Won't elaborate on those!

Ummmm thats all i've got. For now.

-Geoffrey Eugenides

What Next?

Where were we? Oh right, my life.

Last Thursday
Computer Graphics: someone returned my lost USB to me! It was amazing.
So my four hour school break is actually soooo manageable when I come home for it! I watched a little I Love Lucy, had some lunch, and then headed back for Dinner at Tiffany's (did i mention how i named our 6 hour 3-9 class "Dinner at Tiff's" cause our teacher's name is Tiffany)? Anyways... I armed my tired brain with a dark chocolate mocha coffee from Starbucks and headed on in. Gave Taylor a Happy Birthday Month cupcake, Deeann made us cookies, Akela and I got peanut M&Ms and I had the leftover half of my chopped salad from the night before for dinner. Amazing! I forget the details but we started going crazy by the end of class. People were giving me weird looks. Oh, and Akela and I got our Autocad hwk done in class. Sooooo sweet.

Came home to a message from Jordan telling me to go to Dave's so I headed to Venice. It was so fun and wonderful, I was reunited with Dave, Jordan, Colin, Todd and Richard Ryan and his girlfriend who i always forget her name. We chilled out on the roof, Jordan and I cuddled on the couch, then we went to The Brig so the boys could get food from food trucks. Went back to Dave's, admired Jordan's freshly stickered car and DTA stickers and license plate covers and then I went home.

Last Friday
Pilates. Had to go to the Knoll office furniture showroom in Santa Monica for Commercial Design Concepts class. Met Taylor, Akela and Deeann there and we were taken on a cool, but painfully long tour. Daddykins & Uncle Petey should get some Knoll chairs at Q2A...

After Knoll I went to Ikea to get two super huge (12x18) picture frames for my wall of fame. After that I went to the Bush Cottage to help Leigh arrange her furniture. We arranged, made the place super super cozy and then went to Birds for dinner. Leigh is the best celeb spotter alive. She literally glances out the window and is like "there's Shanae Grimes," glances out 5 mins later "there's the twins from Desperate Housewives" - they're smoking hot. I want to make out with one. After dinner we got a banana muffin from The Oaks, made a pit stop at The Mansion to pick up some remains and then headed back to The Cottage. As we sit down to eat our muffin halves I look over at the air conditioner and see the biggest bug i have EVER seen. I'm like "oh my god, what is that" Leigh screams "it's a cockroach!" and we jump up and both start freaking out. I'm not one to be afraid of bugs AT ALL... like a palm sized dock spider crawled up my leg once, i've stepped on several snakes, but this thing was TERRIFYING! Of course Leigh made me kill it, so i grab a flip flop and smoke it as hard as I can... it goes FLYING AND HITS LEIGH IN THE FACE!!!!!! We were dying! It was so hilarious and so terrifying and so horrible!

Then Julia and Ash came over, we hung out for a bit and then I headed home to bed.

Saturday
I woke up and my hangy thing in my throat was so swollen that it was touching my tongue. It happened to me once before, but that was when I had strep... that horrible day waking up at Queen's when my tonsils were basically touching and the walk in clinic and ER lines were so long and full of unsavoury characters so I just ended up driving home to go to the doctor... spitting in a water bottle during the whole 3 hour drive because I couldn't swallow! But back to Saturday. My tonsils weren't hurting so I was hoping it wasn't strep. I researched swollen uvulas online and it said the best remedy was ice cream. Now, normally I would totally hit that up, but I'm trying to be healthy here so i just had frozen blueberries and cold water. And it worked!

Leigh picked me up and we went to see The Last Song. It obviously was nowhere near as good as the book (they left out so many storylines!) but it was still so amazing, and Roger & Brandon's friend Carly Chaikin was really good in it... she makes me want red hair. The whole movie just made me want to run along the beach with mermaid hair, capri jeans and tons of bracelets!

Went to Raph's new place for dinner. He's literally right on the ocean in Santa Monica and it was so fun! He made pasta & moroccan salad (which was amazing), and then I cheated on my Los Feliz Pinkberry boyfriends once again and we walked along the beach/pier, but not really the pier because it grosses me out so I made us turn around.

April 25
Surf's Up Venice! Picked up Colin at his new place in Culver City (soooooo much nicer than the old place, you dont feel like you're in an episode of Cops when you enter). He showed me his line of hats that will soon be a WALL of hats, we ate donuts and then headed to the beach. Got a sweet parking spot, scoped out the waves and walked back and forth and back and forth until Colin settled on the first spot we came to. I got up on my first wave as usual but then after a while my arms turned to Jello and I was useless. The waves also weren't the greatest according the Colin. I had high hopes that the ocean water would clean out my ears/nose/throat and make any signs of throat disease go away, but instead the water just camped out in my sinuses HARDCORE and gave me a mermaid sinus disease. My nose was literally dripping all night... ocean snot water all over a painting i was doing, all over my burning textile homework... all over my grey free city sweatpants... Stop the mermaid disease madness! Oh and might I add that i wish I had an apartment with a pool. I had plans of tanning at the beach but as usual the beach was overcast when the rest of the city was sunny! Ughhhhh... Vino, please sneak me into the Palazzo please.

April 26
Brentwood to see Dawn, dropped off pics to be developed, went to the Culver City DMV (which is MUCH nicer than Glendale) to try and get my license straightened out. They're sending Homeland Security my Visa forms for the THIRD time... hoping they'll be received this time and i'll FINALLY get my id. Stopped by Hot Rod on the way home, met the famous Jack for the first time, helped hunter scrape tape off the floor with razorblazes (cause i loooooooove doing stuff like that), and met Jack's friends from Toronto (but they were actually from Etobicoke). Felt pretty awkward cause the one girl who is a promotor for sbe was like "so where do you go out?" My response: "nowhere, I hate clubs", a look of shock and disgust sweeps over her face "what? what do you do?" "Have parties, hang out with friends," shocked face still there "oh, do you like smoke weed at least?" So awkward. And then of course Cameron starts ripping on me telling me to go out more... I wonder when he'll realize his lectures are falling on deaf ears?!

Went home, did homework, painted a bit, and then Leigh came over for a dinner/dessert/homework/GG party. It was wonderful. It's so cozy having another person here, and prevents me from feeling like a mime!

April 27
The Wall of Fame is constructed! Minus one dual picture frame that still needs purchasing... But, pictures are printed and the majority are in frames.

Pictures include:
12x18 Dave and I in Ventura on the rocks - him filming, me bbm-ing. Photawg: Dorian.
12x18 Colin & I, Surf's Up Venice. Photawg: Rony.
8x10 Leigh, Robyn & I sitting on the bench at the Caves in Barbados. Photawg: Daddykins.
8x10 Paint it Black photoshoot. Photawg: Colin.
8x10 Leigh, Leigh, Robyn & I in the tree on the way to the Griffith Observatory. Photawg: Dustin.
4x6 "Those girls think they're on Top Model" picture from Broadview New Years party. Photawg: Andrew Ritchie?
4x6 Unit members on the dock @ the Dale cottage. Photawg: Jen.
4x6 Courtney & I on the Foz's dock. Photawg: Foz.
4x6 Derek and I en route to Bakersfield to rescue Joel. Photawg: Me.
Frameless: CLR Falling down stairs & Berkley

So what did I do today you ask? Got my ass kicked by my trainer. He also showed me how to use the stair-stepper/stair mill/whatever machine that I was always too scared to try. It was intense, but a good intense. And all I could think about was Ashley Davis before her wedding raving about how it makes fat melt away! I was supposed to go meet William for lunch at Native Foods in Westwood, but we realized that we both had to go downtown for various reasons so we switched plans to meet at Bottega Louis, this restaurant that looks so cool that i've wanted to go to for soooooo long! But then I realized I didnt have to go downtown after all (sidenote: it feels weird saying "downtown" because it makes me think of Toronto) because I managed to find a T2202a tax form online. So we moved lunch to tomorrow, back to Native Foods.

Next up, pick up my pictures from being developed. Got a 10% discount because they did them matte instead of glossy (which was actually a blessing in disguise cause i walked out of the place yesterday wishing i had asked for matte)!! Went to Valley Oak to do some laundry (I have yet to venture into the basement of my apartment to do laundry... I don't like the idea of paying to do laundry... hahahah) so i put in black stuff and then went to the Ford dealership on Vermont because there is a glaring yellow message on Black Beauty saying "Oil Change Required." However, i've still got 2000 miles til the 25 000 service, and i'm wondering if that's what it's talking about... Anyways, they didn't have time for me (i had called several times to make an appt but no one was answering the service phone), so i turned around and came home. They told me to come back tomorrow but I think i'll just head on down to Ben's shop next week.

Back to Valley Oak with a pit stop at Gelson's to buy meat. Read "Neon Angel" (Cherie Currie's bio - AMAZING) in the secret garden for several hours, finished my laundry, and barbecued my meat. Leigh came by, I tried to persuade her to walk to visit our Pinkberry boyfriends but she declined (thankfully). Maria came by and we laughed about the little cupboard in dave's place with a bed, i told her it was my idea! Oh Maria... how I'll miss you calling me "sweetie"...

Came home, was sitting at a light to turn when a suburban comes flying by and smokes my mirror with his mirror! Thankfully Black Beauty was perfectly fine, and the guy in the car behind me was soooooo concerned! Ate my barbecued meat (and sweet potato and asparagus), put my pics in frames and had a lovely relaxing night of 90210 and The Hills premier (which of course featured music by the one and only Justin Beiber)! Dorian Chapman likes this.

The End.

Heartbreakdown

April 21

Basically did homework all day.

April 22

Homework. Babysitting. Got asked out on a date by a certain love interest.

April 23

Have you ever been asked out by someone one night and the next morning they tell you that you should just probably work on your friendship instead? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. It makes you feel soooo great.

Basically I felt broken today. That lovely conversation combined with my trainer kicking my hot ass was a recipe for Miss Misery. As if this kind of thing is happening again (for the third time). As if i'm letting this happen again. I felt like the biggest, weakest idiot on the planet. I need to pull myself together... What happened to the Christine that didn't put up with bullshit from boys? It's because there are so few people that care about me here, I apparently feel a desperate need to cling onto the ones that do... or at least appear to.

Thank you to Jen & Christine for preventing waterworks in Textile Science. Thank you to Jad (my trainer) for telling me I have a mean punch. Thank you to La Scala for making a mean chicken chopped salad. I walked to pick it up and the weather was cloudy and miserable and suited my mood. Thank you to Rich Hil for making the song Retro Girl for me to listen to on repeat. Thank you to LB for taking me to see our Pinkberry boyfriend, thank you to Dorian for telling me he'll be my boyfriend in June.

Monday can't come soon enough!

April 18

Today was wonderful. Mostly. I woke up, walked the glorious seven blocks to the gym and did spinning. Being able to walk without limping makes me so happy and so does being able to walk to the gym! Although walking along wilshire is somewhat annoying with all the traffic lights, but not every gym walk can be as leisurely as Yonge Blvd! After the gym I went to meet Dave at his new apartment in Venice to measure it up and draft it out and figure out what furniture he can bring. I was shocked. Venice is actually nice! And not just nice, but the cutest quaintest thing ever! Well, obviously not all of it, but Dave's place is by a canal that you can boat in - Mom & Dad, wanna fedex me the kayak? It's so cottage-y and so cool and I really really really wanna move to the beach. In a year. Beverly Hills is perfect for now. Anyways, Dave's place is sweet. Although not as dreamy as Valley Oak, cause nothing can be as dreamy as a dream house, but it's still sweet. It's 3 storeys with a roof storey as well, with all these cool little cupboards that would be the best hideouts EVER if we were still kids. One is big enough for a bed and I totally think he should make it a "guest cupboard" (it's adjacent to the guest room, so it totally works).

We took measurements, then went back to Valley Oak cause Leigh had wanted me to run lines for an audition she was taping for Little Red Riding Hood starring our neighbour Amanda Seyfried! I worked on my autocad hwk while i waited for her to get home, and realized that I need to start remembering to bring my mouse because i'm painfully slow without it! Leigh came home, we got Birds for dinner, loaded my drafting table in my car (where it will probably stay for weeks since I can't lift it out by myself... hint hint, somebody, anybody)... and went to look at the Bush Cottage. It's ADORABLE! She moved in all the furniture and its really the coziest place ever! Although I do think she needs a navy blue wall or two!

Came home, watched DH, did my commercial design concepts homework, and started painting the poem Gone by Carl Sandburg on a 24"x48" canvas for my wall while listening to Pearl Jam. Painting is so much more enjoyable when you're listening to songs about the colour you're painting (black). Anywayssss... Next painting project: an 18" x whatever canvas to tape up against the side of my bathtub with lyrics from "Bathwater" by No Doubt. All the tile in my bathroom is black and white, with the exception of the side of the bathtub that's turquoise! WTF? It's an eyesore. It's gotta go. It's gotta be painted black.

Oh, and I also realized that my interest in both sugar and boys has diminished significantly. Won't go into boy details, but I ate celery and almonds while watching Desperate Housewives instead of my usual DH cupcake (and it's not like i don't have cupcakes, there's one in my freezer). It wasn't satisfying in the slightest, but I didn't care. There's more important things to care about... like Leigh. And like figuring out what pictures to put in my 8x10 frames...

Goodnight!

April 17

Waking up and not having anyone to talk to is so bizarre. I felt like a mime this morning. I hate it. The day started with errands, Anthro to take back some stuff and get a hook for the back of my bathroom door... although now i need to go get screws cause i forgot those, and to Pottery Barn to try and get another big frame like the one I had from a few years ago, unfortch the lady told me that they no longer make them, which sucks, cause now i have three 8x10s with white matting and one double 4x6 frame with black matting... the black one will have to go elsewhere.

I then headed to the beach. While driving to Point Dume, I was thinking how I should really check out closer beaches... one day. Parking was an adventure. It was so crowded since it was a weekend, but I saw half a spot and decided to just back into it perpendicular to the other cars. Well, being Canadian and all, I forgot that SUVs don't all have four wheel drive here, so as I put it in forward to straighten out, I get stuck in the sand. Luckily I'm used to getting stuck... in snow (Alyssa's field), or on gravel cliffs (darcy's truck @ the holmes cottage) or mudslide steep driveways (courts cottage)... Fortunately I didn't need Alyssa's dad or Ty's dad or Uncle Steve to come tow me out, i just put it in 1st gear and slowly and steadily and then fastly got out. Phew. So I found a real parking spot, tanned for an hour and a half, wished I'd brought my surfboard cause the waves were perfect, and then headed home. I stopped at Cameron's on the way home and we went out for a 3:00 meal. I had awesome bananananananana pancakes, he had crappy huevos rancheros.

Went home, got ready for dinner, tried to make my hair somewhat presentable so Raph wouldn't critisize me, and then drove back to Santa Monica to meet him. We were early for our reservation so we strolled around 3rd street and then went for dinner. We ate at Robata bar, which was pretty average, Raph forced me to try CHICKEN HEARTS. No joke. Skewers of pieces of chicken heart. Tasted like chicken, but the texture totally grossed us out. After dinner we walked to P-I-N-K-B-E-R-R-Y pinkberry (I didn't sing him the song), and they had ALL the flavors (minus green tea). But i was so excited to get mango coconut swirl! Raph got chocolate. Boring. We then walked around 3rd street some more, saw some street performer dude yelling at these kids for heckling him "My people built this country! You - you're fresh off the boat! And he was standing on this stool wearing a loincloth holding fake snakes, and had a skateboard on the ground below him, and while he was ranting and raving about these hecklers, some other kid ran over and stole his skateboard! And then he ran off chasing the kid... it was so sad, but soooooooo entertaining! It was a lovely lovely evening, sooooooo nice to catch up, so fun to reminisce about boardsports days, soooooooo nice to have another piece of home here!

Where Was I...

Tuesday continued.

I did homework at Valley Oak until the boys returned. It was wonderful being reunited with my long lost boy best friend (Jordan), but the reunion was short-lived. He, Dave and Todd kicked it on outta there and headed to Vegas for some film convention. And then they're going back for M Fest this weekend. I wanna go, but not really cause apparently Public Enemy #1 is going. Leigh and I were reunited with one of our Pinkberry boyfriends. Unfortunately Mario wasn't working, but Jordan was (popular name), and I think I like Jordan better than Mario! He was quite happy to see us. After we got our pink (mango/orig swirl for me, orig for Leigh), we cuddled up on the couch and caught up on several hours of tv. And then i did my online course homework. It was a lovely last night on Valley Oak, but sooooo terribly sad!

April 14

Woke up, ate oatmeal, lounged on the white couch, did my autocad homework in my study with the french doors open, ate lunch with Leigh under the wisteria. Oh how i'm gonna miss that place. Then I went home, got my school stuff and went to Textile Science. Thankfully the other Christine and Jen were in my class. I realized that i have the most common name in the whole entire world. There were four jennifers in the class and two christines. Ugh. But I think its kinda funny that whenever the other Christine and I have a class together, we sit beside each other. After class, came home, walked to whole foods for dinner (sooooo nice being able to walk places, and being able to walk without limping!!!!), caught up on some dancing with the stars, did some homework, had a pretty lonely night and went to sleep.

April 15
Happy Birthday to Bree, Happy Half Birthday to me! Thursday = Hell Day (9 hours of class day), but it really isn't so bad! I got up at the crack of dawn for my 8:30 class, found out we had a new teacher who went around to each person introducing himself and talking for an hour and a half! I got half my online course homework done, it was amazing! For my four hour break I came home, ate kale salad and salmon, Fedexed important documents to the IRS (not taxes). Tried to go get a belated birthday cupcake for Taylor at Sprinkles but there was a line and i didnt have time to wait. Dinner at Tiffany's (my 6 hour class from 3-9 with Tiffany Westrich) is really not as bad as it sounds. Taylor told us all about her dreamy weekend in Santa Barbara with her new boyfriend, Akela and I researched metatarsal stress fractures (which i TOTALLY have) and laughed at the treatment: a boot or wooden soled shoe. Better run to Holland this weekend to get me some clogs! Got home at nine, went to bed shortly after due to loneliness.

April 16
Went to pilates AND spinning! Take that stress fracture! It felt AMAZING to do cardio again. And it was soooo nice to see Myara at pilates. The rest of the day was filled with errands. My life is dreadfully boring now that it's filled with moving errands. I washed my hair. Returned a video. Bought a canvas. Was followed from the art store (Pico & La Cienega) all the way to the Beverly Hills post office by a middle-aged man in a white mercedes who had told me i was beautiful at a red light. Weird. Changed my address @ the post office. Got an extension cord with a grounding plug. Boringness ended with a lovely dinner at the Culver City M Cafe with William. After dinner we walked around Culver City and I'd never realized how cute it is! I love it! After our walk I drove him home since he'd taken the BUS! (He sold his car in an experiment to see if he could live in LA without having a car...) Drove by Hot Rod on the way and saw Kyle in the window, scoped out a cute little theatre in Westwood where Leigh and I have to go see the last song and then dropped William off. I was on my way home, but really didnt wanna go home to an empty apartment (even though it was already 9 ish and there werent really many hours left to be lonely), anyways, i decided to kick it on over to Valley Oak to round up the last of my belongings. I was feeling very much like the cottage christine who goes to the cottage alone but spends the hours between 8 am and midnight elsewhere, mainly at the fosberys. At least living alone will make me more social. But back to the house. It was CRAZY there. Leigh moved all her stuff out today so my room was empty!!!! And the kitchen table and one of the white couches were gone. So sad! So I hung out a bit, packed up all my art supplies that were left and then came home. Ohhhh still gotta get the drafting table... it's definitely gonna sit in my car forever since i'll never be able to lift it out myself. Being an orphan sucks.

April 13

Changes are upon us.

Although I am currently lying in the chaise in my old study at Valley Oak, I no longer live here. It's the weirdest thing EVER. My old room has reverted back to the smell that it had when I moved here and it's weird. It reminds me of last May. Speaking of the month of May, I was feeling very May 2007 this morning while driving through Beverly Hills listening to Lily Allen. Sooooo reminiscent of the first CLR California trip!

My apologies for my lack of posting after I said I would start again. A sweet Barbados vacation had me all tied up, as well as a visit from Momsie. Highlights from mom's visit:

Malibu shopping/Geoffrey's lunch/Zuma Beach/Studio City day. We bought sweet clothes, had an amazing lunch by the ocean, walked (limped) along the beach - my foot is still destroyed, mom's toe is still broken.

Mom meeting Reese Witherspoon and chatting her up for quite some time. (I have a sweet autograph on my fridge).

Katsuya dinner with Leigh and Dave and seeing Leigh's new place.

Hot Rod. Mom being obsessed with Cameron and his Dr. Phil connections.

Visiting Brandon in the h-o-s-p-i-t-a-l. The "Christine & Courtney Hate Queens Cookies" were a smash hit.

Countless delicious meals and treats.

I hate Bed, Bath and Beyond, and I miss you Mom!!! Thanks for helping me get settled in my apartment!

Today.
Today started with a charming breakfast at the Polo Lounge. I've said it before and I'll say it again. There's something about the Beverly Hills Hotel that just makes me so happy. It's the pink and green. I love it. Once we were full of freshly squeezed juices and pancakes and french toast we hit up Sprinkles for free cupcakes since it was its 5th birthday. Went home, got mom's suitcases and dropped her off at the airport. Went to Hot Rod to get a pair of new kicks but unfortunately they aren't girl size friendly in the converse department :( Bernard called me sweetie and we decided that our matching Explorers were in love.

Next stop, Cameron's house. We went to whole foods and got kale salad (me) and a smoothie (him) for lunch. We went back to his place to eat it where I got lecture #745 about how i need to go out more and how I should be dating 4 guys. I told him to find me 4 guys.

Trainer time. It was SOOOOO wonderful being able to walk (8 blocks)! And I saw Ash and we had a nice chat. Boy is it hard working out when you haven't worked out in a month. And when your foot is still injured. Three of the trainers came to the conclusion that I have a stress fracture and need to get an Xray. Damn it. If only I knew how to go about using my insurance to get an Xray... if only this was Canada... if only I had time to figure this all out... it'll have to wait til Friday. I also did my world famous ab routine and was struggling. It was quite depressing! I need to find a pool to swim in. And goggles.

Now i'm back at the Mansion, doing laundry, should be doing homework, Jordan is on his way over and all is right and as it should be!
