June 10/11

June 10

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Went to computer graphics class, had to present our boards with Brian. I volunteered us to go first since it's easiest to go first and it wassss. Breezy presentation, only one small critique, got out of class 2 hours early, AMAZING.

Went to The Loft next, cause I had to write my textiles exam there at 12. Studied for a solid two hours cause I had the extra time from getting out of computers early! And ate a pop tart! Because they provide snacks in the loft! I love it there. It's seriously on the 12th floor of this ghetto sweat shop building, but has such sweat shop charm! So after studying for 2 hours and knowing everything there was to know about Dying, Printing & Finishes, I finished the exam in 10 mins. Deborah told me to eat some Toronto chinese food in her honor.

Since I had time to kill, and was two blocks away from Babycakes, I decided to head over and check it out (and get cupcakes for a Dinner at Tiffany's Last Supper Cupcake Party). It was so cute! I got two red velvet and two brownie and took them back to school.

Dinner at Tiffany's was intense. We had our hour and 45 min autocad exam first, that i literally finished with a minute to spare. I need to pick up my autocad pace! Then it was presentation time. I went first, as usual and was soooo glad to get 'er done. Highlight #1: The asian girl who hasn't said ONE word all quarter busts out this insanely enthusiastic broken english presentation. The entire class was DYING. Highlight #2: The person who we'd been debating about whether it was a boy or a girl (at first i thought boy, then after working in a group with her i was certain she was a girl) turned out to be a boy! It's name was Ian! Intense. Got outta class an hour early and went home to pack.

Packed, dropped off a painting to Leigh for the Thirst Gala, picked up William from his friends place "do you know where fairfax is?" "Did you actually just ask me that? William, we lived together at the Palazzo!" and took him home to test out his garage to see if black beauty would fit. She would. Went home to sleep.

June 11
I had arranged to have this black one shoulder Jamison dress transferred from the Malibu Madison to the W 3rd Madison but unfortch it didnt happen. So instead of getting in one last hike with Leigh, I trekked up to Malibu. I was there by 10, had the dress in my possession by 10:20. Headed back towards home but then realized there was no point in going home and I decided just to go straight to Hot Rod. So I get there, I tell Cam how Hot Rod should have flowers from the flower shop next door, so he told me to go get some. There were SLIM pickings at the store, and Cam only wanted to spend 20 bucks so i got a sad bouquet of gerber daisies. Went back to the shop where i was told that I would be doing another video. Great. This one involved still shots as well. By the time everyone got their acts together and by the time i'd cut an LA tee into a tank, we had 8 mins to shoot the video before it was time to leave for the airport (Cam was driving me). Needless to say, the video was terrible! But it was funny. So videos done, we head out to Williams in the worst traffic ever, I get there, and there are two cars in an L shape blocking his garage. So i weasel my way between them, angling around a wooden post with literally millimeters to spare. I got halfway in and the idiot girl who had blocked the driveway on the road side runs over and is like "sorry!" Fucker. So then Cam gets there and tells me just to abandon ship and let William straightener out when the other blocking car moves. So I did, and hop into his car. Of course we get stuck behind a garbage truck and in terrible traffic on the 405, Cam is so worried i'm not gonna make my flight, but i was fine. I knew my guardian angel and spirit guide would get me there on time, and obvi, it worked out. Got to the baggage desk with 15 mins to spare! The rest of the airport process was a breeze and I had a leisurely flight home with no one sitting beside me!

Farewell for now LA. Miss ya already!
