November 12

Today was an amazing day. Up at 7:30, outta the house by 8:30, picked up Colin at 9:30 and hopped on the 405 to San Diego. We had appointments with Colin's mom that afternoon for chakra cleansing but we decided to go for the day and do a little surfing as well! So first we hit up Colin's house for a little snacktime (luna bars & chocolate almonds - which dont count as sugar cause they're dark chocolate and not tasty), picked up a board and wetsuit for leigh from his garage and headed to the beach (that was like 3 blocks away). I want to live by the ocean sooooo badly. At least while i'm young and carefree... So we went to the beach, and I proved that my wicked surf day with Surfer Drew at HB was NOT a fluke. I can actually do it now. Leigh and Robyn, just wait, we're gonna be awesome. So we surfed for a while, took some pics that all ended up being terrible... my death zombie face just wasn't working for me (tired + salt water clogged sinuses + suntan lotion irritated puffy eyes = not a good look), dropped Leighs board back at Colin's and went to his mom's spa.

Colin's mom is the coolest. She's beautiful, (Court - she looks like your mom), she's so nice, and she's magical! The cleansing started off with a wonderful massage (my neck and shoulders are crazy tight these days so it was awesome), then the stones and crystal stuff. She knew that I was an artist (says that i'll do really well and make a name for myself!), she knew I worked with my dad, she knew that i was disappointed about a certain love interest, she said California is where I belong, and told me some VERY interesting information about my chakras that totally aligns with what Miriam was seeing, and told me that i need to start meditating to release energy from a past life that is blocking me, and told me how to do it. It was sooooo relaxing (and the massage table was heated!) and just so wonderful! During Leigh's turn I went in some infrared sauna which was pretty wonderful too. We both loved it. We're gonna go back on a somewhat-regular basis.

By this time we were pretty starving so Colin took us to the "best mexican restaurant in the world." And it was REALLY good. Leigh and I split a chicken quesadilla and chicken tacos. The drive home was quite relaxing, filled with death cab and other mellow music.

Happy Remembrance Day. Lucky for me school was cancelled for Veterans Day. I hiked with Leigh, went to the gym to spin, came home with the intention of doing homework, but just ended up reading (because it was overcast and fall-ish and wonderful) and planning the grilled cheese/sundae party with Leigh. Then it was time for pilates (I decided to go to Myara's reformer class with Leigh) and it was an amazing class! Soooo hard. My body hurts today. We got home, ate dinner, watched Top Model, drank tea, and went to bed.
