November 8

Drafting Sundays blow. I woke up at 8:30 and sat at my drafting table drawing a bathroom plan and 4 elevations basically from 9 - 5. Dad you never returned my call about free-handing a toilet... I took brief breaks to 1. Visit with Kim - she and her friends came over for a bit. 2. Eat lunch. 3. Do back bridges to stretch my back. I finished just as Leigh got home from dance class and we ate our dinner and finished princess diaries. Then I worked on more tattoo font ideas, and went up to my studio to start painting Megan. Leigh and I had a cupcake party (and re-discovered the ice cream in the freezer from thanksgiving... bad news) and watched Desperate Housewives. We also planned a grilled cheese/ice cream sundae party for next Sunday! It's gonna be amazing. I'll make my famous BBQ grilled cheese. Ummmm started painting the black on Megan... so far she looks soooooo good (and it'll only get better). Probably will be my fave painting yet.

This week is gonna be wonderful because I only have 2 classes! No school on Remembrance (Veterans) Day!

November 7

Today started off fabulously. I got up to go on my hike, and heard the familiar voices of Brad & Pax out on the street, so I decided to go out the front door instead of the back like always. And there they are, right in front of our doorstep, so I waved and said "good morning" to Brad, he waved back and said "morning." And he's beautiful in real life.

Hiked. Started watching The Princess Diaries with Leigh but then realized that I had to go to the art store to get new white paint, picture hanging wire and a super skinny brush cause I didn't bring all my brushes. So I did that then came back and worked on drawing Brandon's Megan Fox painting while Leigh, Dave and I watched Vampire Diaries. We had a wonderfully lazy day, then went to visit Mel Cox at the tattoo shop in Venice. She was sooooo beautiful. I have such a girl crush on her. Unfortunately all the fonts I wanted wouldn't work (unless I basically want half my forearm instead of just my wrist tattooed - which i'm totally cool with now, but definitely won't be as a mom) and they were trying to tell me just to get a standard cursive font, but yeah right! Some generic computer written font? No thank you. So I went back to the drawing board (literally - sitting at my drafting table devising a new font)... but first we went to Santa Monica for dinner. Jordan & Ben had come to meet us at the tattoo place so we all went to some restaurant on a corner by the ocean and sat at a table with a fire pit in the middle (would've been really handy for Dave & Jordan having one of those at the saddle ranch so they didnt have to leave the table to roast their marshmellows)... Anyways, our waitress was horrible, our food was delicious, and then we went for amazing frozen yogurt after. It was one of the self serve places and of course mine ended up being huge, but it was so good so I didnt care. Jordan played Wii bowling with the asian owner's little kid and it was pretty much the cutest thing in the world.

The boys then tried to convince leigh and I to go out with them, but we wouldnt have any of it, so we went home. Leigh went to bed, I drafted up a font, drew a tattoo on my wrist the size that Mel wanted to do it (so huge), Jordan drew the same one on my ribs because all the boys said I should get it on my ribs, but I still hold firm to the belief that my ribcage is far too wide and therefore not hot, and it interferes with the ones on my back. I then continued working on Megan while the boys busted out wayyyyy too much food - first came pad thai, next was pizza, next thing I know Dave is defrosting cupcakes! Obvi I had to have a cupcake. It was a really really fun night and I really really love hanging out with boys all the time! It feels like the summer with the cottage boys - makes it seem like summer hasn't ended yet - the weather helps as well. Although it's been really cold at night which is nice.
