Back to LA. Arrived at the airport 3 hours early, burdened by my two suitcases and snowboard bag, thinking i'd be waiting at the gate forever... but i was actually waiting in lines foreverever! It was insane. But thankfully ipods and books were allowed on the plane so I was good to go. Flight was fine, Jordan picked me up at the airport and we went to the Jerry's by the airport to meet Leigh, Dave & Todd before Leigh and Dave hopped on a plane to Florida. Our reunion was brief (maybe 20 mins), but wonderful. We discussed BMWs and my future husband. And found out that Todd REALLY likes it when people keep secrets from him! Got back to the house and noticed that all the christmas decorations - including the tree - were still up, so i had to take them down since it was Jan. 6 and any decorations left up past the 6 will result in a year of bad luck!!
January 7
First day of school. 6:30 wakeup was much easier than usual since I was still on Toronto time. Class was breezy as usual, it was nice to see my school friends, but unfortunately Taylor wasn't in our Computer Graphics class :( After school I went home, was gonna go to dinner with Jordan & Todd but then they decided to go to Hurry Curry and I wanted NOTHING to do with that!
January 8
Day began with a wonderful Griffith hike. Oh how i'd missed you... Hiked, went to pilates, went to spinning, came home & had lunch and then went to Frederic Fekkai for some haircutting fun! I got my roots fixed by a wonderful dude named Henry, and then Kelly worked her cutting/pincurling action with my locks. We discussed her upcoming wedding and my upcoming date with Brandon. Went home, got ready for dinner and then Brandon picked me up. We went to some wonderful sushi place on Robertson where we had "the usual" and it was amazing. We laughed a lot. (At me and with me).
January 9
Hollywood sign hike. I had big plans of tanning all day so I went down to Huntington, cause it's always warmer there than everywhere else. Not today. Pure clouds. But the trip wasn't all for nothing, I swung by HSS and dropped off my board to Mark (tail crack repair) and we had a nice chat. He made a comment how it was cool how everything just has a way of working out "you came down here for all those years and wanted to live here, and now you actually are!" That's fantasyland for ya. After HB I made my way back home and made plans to go for dinner with Jordan. He picked me up in his spaceship and after driving around trying to figure out where to go, we decided on Izakaya, the place owned by Katsuya. Unfortch it was a half hour wait, so we went to Leigh's sushi place on Beverly. I always forget the name, but it starts with a K. We ordered way too much food - he convinced me to try the Philadelphia roll and i actually liked it - and had wonderful conversatoin about love interests (past & present). I then HAD to have Pinkberry (it was calling my name from across the street... actually I was singing the theme song so i was really calling it's name)... so we went. And I asked when they were getting green tea back and they were like "Brentwood has green tea!" and Jordan was like "let's go to brentwood!" So we went to Brentwood! It was wonderful to have good old green tea with half coconut, half mochi. We came back home with every intention of watching a movie, but after looking through all the movies on netflix, there was nothing we wanted to watch/could agree on. So I decided to go to sleep and Jordan went home.
January 10
I wake up to a bbm from Brandon from 4:00 in the morning saying that he couldn't hike because his muscles were hurting from some late night bike ride. I was really annoyed! I'd been looking forward to that hike since May! hahahah so I did the old faithful hike, came home to a message from him asking if we were still on to hike at 2. I was sooooooooo annnoyed. He told me that the message didnt count cause he wrote it when he was asleep. I told him i wanted to tan for a couple hours and that i'd go at three, he didnt wanna go at three. So I tanned for a couple hours (until the clouds rolled in), and then I went to Hot Rod to visit Cameron & Kyle. They both gave me a lecture about how I need to date a bunch of guys at once and not tell the other guys i'm dating other guys. I told them that that sounded like the most dishonest thing ever and just seemed like it would be more trouble than it was worth. I hung around the store for like 2 hours (with breaks to go get a green tea latte and pizza with cameron) and it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon! Post Hot Rod, I went home, went grocery shopping for apples and craisins, and Brandon picked me up and took me for frozen yogurt at some place by his house. I got oatmeal frozen yogurt. It was amazing.
