Day 3
Woke up. Rob took me to the grocery store to get a lemon, apples, and yogurt with Ian (Rob and I in his and hers Uggs). Plan for the day: sledding/snowboarding in the backcountry. I was too cheap to pay for Whistler lift tickets and Rob couldn’t get me free ones this year because Whistler’s being cheap b/c of the recession. We drove out to Brandywine and headed up! It was the most terrifying thing EVER because no one was around and I kept thinking that if the sled broke down, we would be dead meat. But it was also wayyyyyyyyyyy cooler than it was scary and I got to snowboard in crazy places all alone in the mountainous wilderness and it was just sooooo cool. And soooo freezing when we got onto the glacier. And then I banged my face on the handlebars and my tooth went through my lip. There was lots of blood. I cried. I was scared I’d have to get stitches, but it was all good. After sledding/snowboarding for a couple hours we went home and got ready for dinner. We went for sushi, then went to watch the Telus finals where I ran into Bryan Lang!! After watching telus for a while (I was painfully bored), I had a glorious reunion with Sue and Forrest that lasted for exactly 10 mins and then we had to part ways ☹. We then went to the Fairmont to say hi to Ian and then went to Rogers and rented Twilight. After struggling to stay awake during Twilight, we decided to put it on hold til tomorrow.
