WestCoastBestCoast: Day 4

Day 4
8:00 wake up call! We got up, marveled over my mysterious gnarly every-colour-of-the-rainbow multiple bruises (on my legs and hips), I got to meet Ian’s girlfriend Leah, I ate my green concoction breakfast, rob made an omelette, and we headed to squamish to climb The Chief (a mountain)!! It was intense. I was expecting Hollywood hills-ish hiking, but this was an actual rocky rough terrain mountain, complete with chains drilled into the rocks that you had to hold on to because you had to basically scale along a vertical rock. It was awesome! We had intended to climb to peak 1, but halfway through decided to go for Peak 2. Once we got there, the view was INSANELY cool. You could see so far and it was just such beautiful mountain/lake/wilderness scenery! On the way down we were soooo exhausted and my legs were crazy shaky. It was soooooooo cool. We hadn’t had lunch, but I had prepared us a CLR California Special: Granny Smith Apples. Rob ate his apple and then proceeded to Wendy’s to totally ruin his mountain climbing workout. We got in a fight about him eating fast food every day. Back in Whistler we went to the grocery store and bought healthy food (salmon steaks, asparagus, peppers & mushrooms) to barbecue for dinner, and unhealthy food (chocolate chip cookie ingredients) because rob had forgot the cookies his mom sent him at the Alterna office in Van so I said I’d bake him cookies. I then made him do my 15 min ab workout with me (he couldn’t keep up) and pushups (I couldn’t keep up). Then we cooked our dinner, and then I wanted to walk to the village to go get a whistler starbucks mug, so we did, and our legs were soooooo tired! We got home, I made the cookies, and then we curled up on the couch to drink tea, eat cookies, and re-watch Twilight. Edward Cullen is sooooo smokin’. If only the movie was as good as the book…
